Today October 17th 2024, it is exactly 30 years ago that we first produced Solid Drink®.
Solid Drink® is a sterile and biological / vegan gel with a water content of >97% water.
It is sealed in plastic (FDA / EU approved for food) pouches or cups. From every produced batch, samples are analysed for sterility and content by an independent laboratory. A certificate of irradiation and an analysis report will be sent with every delivery.
The Solid Drink® pouches and cups were originally designed as a water replacement during transport, but more and more animal facilities are using Solid Drink® now also as a replacement of water bottles in the animal cage; no more cleaning of water bottles.
This pure biological product does not need to be stored refrigerated and has a shelf life of 18 months.
Solid Drink® is also available in special formulations;
1) as an aid in the prevention of dehydration with added glucose and electrolytes and for post operative use
2) as 1), plus added multi vitamins
3) with extra energy
4) with pre-mix diet
Solid Drink® products are packed in plastic bags, those bags are packed in airtight buckets before irradiation. For extreme high sterility circumstances with use in SPF – areas, we offer “Barrier Use” versions, those buckets contain the standard 75 gram or 150 gram pouches but those buckets are double packed in two extra sealed plastic bags on the outside (Barrier Use).
